Music Map

As I was listening to a few songs tonight and I think we had all had this thought at some point in our lives: What other bands have the same sound as coldplay or metallica. That is when I found this neat (to say the least) search engine for music, called Music Map.

Music map is basically a search where you enter the artist and it will find other artists (big or small) that share the same type of sound. For example I did a search for Blink 182 and it came up with a band called Feeder..I clicked on Feeder and it mapped that band with more bands like them. Drop by, give it a try, and Map it

This article is to complement Jordan’s article on music file sharing. I have been to Singing Fish and found a lot of single to help in my conquest for that 8 terrabyte music collection that he was talking about but, i am more an album kind of guy. If you are like me and want a whole album that you will never listen to, head over to http://www.51mpc.com/share.htm , also know as Share!. Updated every so often, and all links are for rapidshare. Enjoy and remember to be safe when downloading.

Bit torrents are good for downloading full albums, Kazaa is Spyware on a platter, LimeWire is soon to be toast, Google hacking takes WAY too long, and you’ve already fed Apple every last $1.00 you own (and those dollars you didn’t know you had) but yet you still can’t get that ONE song to complete your 8-Terrabyte music collection. Well, as some would say, GO FISH!! AOL’s SingingFish.com has flew under the music industry radar for years now providing direct download links to almost every music file you can imagine. SingingFish also provides advanced info for each file so you know if you’re getting a horrible 56k. quality MP3 or a glorious 320k. track. Finish reading up here and then go to www.singingfish.com . You won’t be disappointed!
